Dr. Atanay trained at the UCLA School of Dentistry, one of California’s top dental programs. His undergraduate degree in psychology from Cal State Fullerton shaped how he approaches anxious patients. He has spent over 35 years helping Ventura County residents get through dental care without fear.
The practice stays small by design. Vicky Atanay manages the office and assists chairside, so patients see familiar faces at every visit. Same-day appointments are available Monday through Friday.
Sunset Dental accepts most major dental insurance plans. Non-insured patients receive the $110 New Patient Special: all necessary digital X-rays, a comprehensive exam, and a regular cleaning.

Sunset Dental is at 1545 Morse Ave, Suite A, Ventura, CA 93003. Office hours are Monday 9am-6pm, Tuesday through Friday 8am-5pm. New patients from Ventura, Oxnard, and Camarillo are welcome.
Non-insured patients: $110 covers all necessary digital X-rays, a comprehensive exam, and a regular cleaning. Insured patients: $100 off the copay for crown and bridge work. Both offers are available every day. No sign-up required.
